What is
Personal branding? Personal branding is basically
when you make something your own.
You need to master is the art of branding. So what exactly is branding and why
should you be concerned with it? Any big
name retailer or business will pay massive amounts of money to get branded and get
their name brand out in the mainstream.
Big companies have millions, some tens of millions dedicated just to get
the names branded. Let’s see who
we can think of off the top of our craniums. Livestock are branded to prove that they belong to a
specific ranch. Here’s the
wonderful thing with branding; one you brand something there is basically no
way to unbrand it. What company
comes to mind when you think of electronics; how bout GE, or Sony. Ok how about soft drinks; Coca Cola,
Pepsi, & Dr.Pepper. What about
energy drinks? Red Bull!
5 years ago we
knew who Coca Cola and Pepsi were, but who and what the heck was Red Bull. Red
Bull is the perfect example of branding power. The only drink you know that
give you wings. No other drink can
claim that. Why, because Red Bull
made that their branding. WINGS!!! I drank it and never got
wings, but that’s beside the point.
What will you
brand yourself with? My brand will
be synonymous with something that everyone would normally be despised for
using—-> Steroids.
Highly
controversial, sure. Well for me that’s a good thing, because I don’t mind a
bit controversy. Now don't get me
wrong not all publicity is good publicity, but bad publicity can sometimes be
better than no publicity if you fix it in time; and someone’s else bad
publicity might just be the boost you need. Just latch on to their coat tails and enjoy the ride while
you can. OK, back to the
steroids. It has killed careers
and sent a few to jail. But you see no one can really expect me to really be
selling steroids for network marketing.
I even use the catch line, “Experience Growth So Fast You Might Get
Subpoenaed”.
