Picture this scenario. You have just seen the greatest movie and raved to your friends about how great it was? Next thing you know your friend calls you and tell you thanks. He is now raving to his friends about how great the movie was. Next you go to the theater, the manager singles you out from the crowd and thanks you for all the people that came to the movie based on your referrals. He already has a check written out with your name on it and then proceeds to give you your tickets for free. Your snacks are already paid for. Then your alarm goes off and it was just a dream. Back to reality. You get dressed and head out to work. On your way to your car, your neighbor waves to you after picking up his newspaper. He is still dressed in his pajamas and robe and is sipping casually on his coffee cup that has bright neon lettering displaying his new motto "No Job". This guy doesn't do anything but what ever he wants. He traded in his toyota camry for a brand new lexus and makes sure everyone knows it paid for with his customized plate that says "P'dnFul". SHOW OFF.
As you drive off you can't help but remember him telling you about this great company he got start with a year or two ago and how he was starting his own home-based business. You remember laughing and telling he was wasting his time and you had been there and done that. You picture him saying, "you know I've been there too, but this time its different. I did my research and this is a good program. You know you should take a good look at if before you made a decision." Your reply was simply, "Well when you make it big, I will check it out."
At this point, he's clearly not a millionaire but he retired early from his job and is always going on vacation.
Here's the difference between him and you. He did his homework. Choose a good company and started marketing himself first. He studied some of the top courses on using attraction marketing and wow did it pay off. That was about two years ago.
Today, you decide to make a decision to get paid for doing what you already do. When ever you promote or refer anything to someone you are basically doing the same thing network marketers do, but the difference is you don't get paid. Its really that simple.
