The So-Called Gurus and Their Basket of Goodies (Warning: Contains Harsh Language)

Is there anyone else sick and tired of these so-called gurus and all their goodies and wares that they market to us newbies that ends up with their pockets being lined and ours emptied? Well, I don't know about the rest of y'all, but I am down to my last straw. I spent a good portion of my morning cleaning out my e-mail from these so-called gurus' worthless emails. Maybe I missed one that was actually of value, but that would be like finding a needle in a haystack (sorry about that cliche). I might sound a bit disenfranchised, disgruntled and down-right pissed off, but (here goes another one) its better to be pissed off than pissed on.

This is a message to these so-called gurus. Quit trying to sell me all this worthless crap. You are giving this industry a bad name. Let me be clear, I have nothing against capitalism, but how about giving me something or real value instead of constantly trying to market a bunch of fluff and nonsense to me. I don't need you to email me every week trying to sell me something. Newsflash; it's quite apparent what your intent is and that is to sell me everything but your kitchen sink (oops, I did it again).

OK, now that I am through venting, here's the solution I came up with. Go ahead and sign up for the free courses and evaluate them. If they are relevent and of applicable content; meaning the author is actually giving you something you can use right away, most likely the actually paid material is probably even better. Make sure that the author provides an ironclad money back guarentee of atleast 30 days if the products costs over $50. There are other alternatives to spending your entire budget on these cookie-cutter courses. Do your research online and check out the bookstores and libraries. I found that there is a wealth of material available for free in libraries and online in forums and social networking sites like BetterNetworker.com and MLMSteroids.com. Another good resources that I would personally recommend is the Mentoring for Free Program by Michael Dlouhy. Here is the best part of the Mentoring for Free Program; you don't get charge a dime for the information. You dont pay anything for the free ebook and nothing to sit in on the training calls. No one plugs their own business, just what working for them. If you are interested in knowing what business someone is promoting you will have to ask them outside the call.

Now that you know where to find these resourses, remember nothing happens without you sticking out your neck and taking a chance. Not even the lottery works that way. You actually have to go to the gas station or convenience store and hand the clerk your hard earned five dollar bill to get the ticket. Same applies here. You will actually have to take these methods and apply them to your business consistently to determine what will work for you.
